Install OpenClaw was founded on a straightforward conviction: organizations adopting AI agents should not be forced to surrender their data to a third-party cloud in order to benefit from automation. The moment an agent processes sensitive documents, customer records, or proprietary code, the question of where that processing happens becomes a question of governance. We built a platform that eliminates that tension entirely. With Install OpenClaw, the agent lives on your machine, answers to your policies, and stores nothing anywhere you have not explicitly approved.

Your data never leaves your servers. We designed Install OpenClaw so that every byte of agent activity, every conversation log, and every generated artifact stays on hardware you control. No telemetry phones home. No shadow copies exist in our cloud.
Open Source First
The core agent runtime is published under a permissive license. You can read every line before it touches your machine, audit it against your security policies, and contribute improvements back to the community. Closed-source AI infrastructure is a liability we refuse to impose.
Radical Transparency
We publish our roadmap in the open, disclose breaking changes weeks in advance, and document every decision that affects how the platform behaves. When something goes wrong, we write a public post-mortem. Trust is built through visibility, not marketing.
