We build AI agents that work, not just talk
OpenClaw Hosting exists to close the gap between what AI promises and what it actually delivers. Our agents live on your server, take real action, and report back through the messaging apps your team already uses.
Why we started
We kept running into the same frustration: every AI tool on the market produced impressive text but could not actually do anything. You would ask it to back up a database and receive a tutorial. You would ask it to deploy a branch and get a list of terminal commands to copy-paste.
The technology was clearly capable of more. What was missing was the infrastructure to let an AI agent operate autonomously on real systems — with proper access, persistent memory, and the ability to communicate results through channels people actually check.
So we built it. OpenClaw is the platform we wanted to exist: an AI agent that runs on your machine, takes direct action, and stays in touch through WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, or Slack. Setup takes minutes, not weekends.
Our journey
Founded
Started with a simple thesis: AI agents should execute, not just respond.
First Beta
Launched the private beta with 50 early adopters. WhatsApp and Telegram integrations shipped.
BYOS Launch
Released Bring Your Own Server — the most-requested feature from our community.
2,500+ Deployments
Crossed 2,500 active agent deployments across 41 countries.
What we stand for
Infrastructure Sovereignty
Your server belongs to you. We manage the software layer, but root access and data ownership never leave your hands.
Execution Over Conversation
We measure value in tasks completed, not tokens generated. An agent that talks without acting is just another chatbot.
Radical Transparency
Our core is open-source. Every agent action is logged. You can inspect, audit, and modify anything running on your machine.
Community-Driven Development
Our roadmap is shaped by the people who use the product. Feature requests, bug reports, and pull requests all carry real weight.
The team
Alex Chen
Founder & CEO
Previously led infrastructure at a YC-backed startup. Spent years watching engineers waste weekends on server config instead of building products.
Sarah Kim
CTO
Distributed systems engineer with a decade at scale. Designed fault-tolerant architectures processing millions of events daily.
Marcus Johnson
Head of Product
Developer tools veteran who shipped three products from zero to ten thousand users. Obsessed with reducing time-to-value.
Priya Patel
Head of Engineering
ML and systems background. Built inference pipelines serving real-time predictions at sub-100ms latency.
Open-source at the core
The OpenClaw agent runtime is open-source. You can inspect every line of code running on your server, contribute improvements, or fork it for your own use case. Transparency is not optional — it is foundational.
