Four steps to a working WhatsApp connection
Register a WhatsApp Business application
Create a Business app on developers.facebook.com and activate the WhatsApp product. Verify your business and assign a dedicated phone number.
Copy your API credentials
Grab the Phone Number ID, permanent Access Token, and Webhook Verification Token from the WhatsApp configuration panel.
Paste credentials into your OpenClaw dashboard
Open Settings, select the WhatsApp integration, and enter your credentials. The dashboard validates them instantly before saving.
Register the webhook endpoint
Copy the generated webhook URL from your dashboard and register it inside your WhatsApp app settings. Subscribe to the messages callback and you are live.
