Install OpenClaw Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 1, 2026

1. Who we are

Install OpenClaw ("we," "us," "our") operates the installopenclaw.io website and the Install OpenClaw platform. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. It applies to all visitors and registered users of our services.

2. Data we collect

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and a hashed version of your password. If you subscribe to a paid plan we collect billing details through our payment processor. We also record basic usage metadata such as login timestamps, pages visited, and feature interactions.

We do not collect, store, or access any data processed by AI agents running on your infrastructure. Agent runtime data, conversation logs, generated files, and any other artifacts remain exclusively on the server you provision. We have no technical mechanism to retrieve that data.

3. How we use your data

We use your personal data to create and maintain your account, process payments, deliver customer support, send service-related notices, and improve the platform. We may use aggregated, non-identifiable data for internal analytics. We will never sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Third-party processors

We share the minimum data required with a small number of processors: a payment provider for billing, a transactional email service for account notifications, and an error-tracking service for platform stability. Each processor is bound by a data processing agreement that limits their use of your information to the specific service they provide.

5. Cookies and tracking

We use session cookies to keep you authenticated and preference cookies to remember your settings. We use a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not rely on cross-site tracking or fingerprinting. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser without losing access to any core functionality.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for the duration of your active subscription. When you delete your account, we permanently erase your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law such as financial record keeping obligations.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. If you reside in the European Economic Area you also have the right to data portability, the right to restrict processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

8. Security

All data in transit is encrypted using TLS. Data at rest is encrypted on our infrastructure. We perform periodic security reviews and follow industry best practices for credential storage and access control.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before they take effect. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the latest revision.

10. Contact
